Custom Clubs

What are Custom Clubs?

Measuring is cruicialJust as each golf course is different, so is each game and the needs of each player. The person you are and the way you play is unlike anyone else. It naturally follows, that in order for you to achieve the best possible results attainable with your natural ability your golf equipment needs to be tailored to your physique, your swing and your playing style.

Factory made, or off the rack clubs are designed for the mythical average golfer. Unless you are that mythical average person, buying these clubs almost guarantees that you won't have a good fit and without the proper fit it will be very difficult for you to achieve your playing potential because you will be constantly adjusting your set-up and swing to accommodate your equipment’s design rather than having your equipment designed to accommodate your unique personal swing. No wonder we have a hard time developing a consistent swing..

The new buzzword is Custom clubs.

Now days, virtually every seller of quality pre-assembled golf clubs has some form of fitting that enables them to supply so called "custom clubs". We see portable bins of test clubs, demo days, demo clubs, internet forms to fill out, or whatever. All of these systems are designed so that any sales clerk can go through the motions of a fitting for “custom clubs”. This often involves little more than hitting sample clubs on a range or into a net until you are exhausted. The end result of all of this is that the factory can then be requested to build a standard type set with option A, B, or C, etc. and call it a custom set.

The common element in all of these systems is that they are a trial and error process that typically pays little attention to the club designs and specifications that are appropriate for you and your actual playing needs. What really transpires is that your equipment choices are limited to the design options that each company can easily incorporate into their assembly line building process. In other words, the priority concept is to fit your needs into the factory assembly line system rather than to fit the system into your needs.

We believe you deserve better value for your money!

As independent clubmakers we have access to many hundreds of head, shaft, and grip designs.  From this wide selection of choices we are able to select the component design features, specifications, and styles that will be suitable for your personal swing movements and then assemble your clubs into a truly matched and fitted set that will play better than any clubs you have ever owned.

All of the club heads we use are original designs in stainless steel, titanium, or other high quality metals. We do not deal in knock offs, clones, copies, or heads cast from cheap pot metals and aluminum alloys.

All of our standard steel shafts are True Temper designs. We do not use the cheap "jobber" products often seen in low priced clubs. We also offer a full range of upgrade True Temper shafts such as the golds, sensicores, etc. and the full line of Precision Rifle products.

Our standard graphite shafts are purchased from premium manufactures such as Aldila, Grafalloy, UST, Fujikura, Harrison, Penley, and Graphite Design. Our selections are quality shafts with predictable playing specifications, not the cheap "jobber" models typically found in department and discount store clubs. We also offer many upgrade designs from these and other premium shaft makers.
